Bluff Call ()

A bluff constitues a series of moves to pretend to have a hand that you do not hold. The bluff call is part of this series and usually consists of winning the pot with a weak hand by bringing the opposition to fold in a later round. A bluff call might be made to give the impression that you are slow playing or might be meant to represent a draw.

One use of the bluff call is the float. This is the calling of a continuation bet after a raise, in order to snatch the pot in a future round, should the opposition check or show other signs of a readiness to fold.
