Stop and Go

Stop and Go refers to a play where you switch from a passive to an aggressive line. This can mean for example that you raise preflop in a cash game, stay passive on the flop and become aggressive on a good turn. In a tournament it could mean that you call preflop with a small stack and go on to push on the flop.
Instead of directly going all-in to your opponent's preflop raise, you only call to see if you hit something. If you went all-in right away, your opponent might get the required odds to call you with any two. If you do hit the flop or think that your opponent might fold, you go all-in.
